Stress Reduction & Stress Mastery
Stress affects us all. How we view the stressors in our life impacts how we deal with stress. If we view our stressors as negative, our stress response will create a negative by-product in our lives which often leads to increased illness – mental, physical and emotional. This is where we see chronic injuries that do not heal, depression, anxiety and other mental illness.
Our Mind-Body Coach guides you to the awareness of how you view and respond to stress and provides you with the tools to create an empowered stress response in your life.
Each person is unique – we all have a different stress response to various situations and too often we judge ourselves on how we handle it compared to how others handle the same situation. Stress can be very personal – many people struggle without really letting anyone know what’s truly going on with them out of fear, shame and “not wanting to burden others”.
We offer a judgment-free space that allows clients to explore their lives while offering new possibility created through the “coach approach” which is NOT therapy, counselling or psychiatry. Clients are provided the tools that best serve their perspective and unique challenges in their lives.
Mindfulness & Meditation
Clients are guided in a one-on-one environment to cultivate their own personal practice of mindfulness and/or meditation. The sessions are guided by the individual’s own unique needs, challenges, and goals.
A personal practice may include the use of mindfulness techniques, meditation, breath or breathing exercises (pranayama), and visualization.
Mindfulness and/or meditation can help to bring a client’s focus into the present. It can reduce anxiety and depression by helping one to focus more clearly on the now and less on past or future stresses. Mindfulness works to allow your body and brain to acknowledge these stressors which can reduce or eliminate the physiological responses that affect productivity, sleep, and wellbeing.

The Stress Mastery Workshop is a 2-hour interactive crash course into stress.
You’ll learn the (simple) science of stress; be able to identify the various stress responses; and create awareness of your own unique stress response; while learning to cultivate simple practices to become an empowered Stress Master!
