TENS stands for Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation and is an alternative pain treatment that uses low voltage electric current to block pain receptors. TENS treatment can be used to effectively treat chronic and acute pain.
IFC or Interferential Current Therapy is a safe and effective alternative therapy, used to relieve pain and accelerate the healing process.
Similar to TENS, IFC uses electrical stimulation but is considered more powerful and may be more effective.
Both IFC and TENS help to treat:
- Chronic and acute pain
- Inflammation
- Edema
- Spasms
- Joint stiffness
- Post-traumatic and post-surgical pain
