Technology behind it…

Shockwave therapy is a modern and highly effective treatment method: high-energy sound waves are introduced into the painful areas of the body. With this innovative therapy approach, pathological (extreme) alterations of tendons, ligaments, and bones can be eliminated systematically.

Simply put, shockwave stimulates certain components in the body so it is able to heal when the body has demonstrated a previous inability to do so itself. It also has a direct effect on nerves, diminishing pain. This treatment is most beneficial when the injury becomes chronic and enters a non-healing state. Extracorporeal shock wave therapy (ESWT) appears to jump-start the healing process and move them back into the acute phase of healing. It is recommended by Medical Doctors to chronic conditions and used by high performance athletes.
